The ErgoU is equiped with state-of-the-art hardware and software tools, such as:
Innova Data Logger 1221 for the measurement of the thermal comfort as well as the measurement and assessment of other measures (e.g. the WBGT index, air velocity, air temperature, dry heat loss, etc.)
Therman Comfort Measurement Aparatus, provided by Bruel & Kjaer
Advanced digital noise meters, for the measurement of noise in the working environment
Air Velocity meters, thermometers (indoor and outdoors) etc.
Lightmeters, Relative Humidity Meters, Noise Dose Meters etc.
Ergonomics Software: "Anthropos" (developed by the ErgoU), ManneQuin Pro©.
State of the art Eye Tracking hardware and software both on screen (remote) and helmet.
The 3D HUMAN MODEL is used to optimize the physical human-product interaction. The models provide a great overview of the statistical 1D data and make it easier to use the information in a 3D CAD environment. The models are based on existing data sets and are scientifically validated.
In addition ErgoU has a Climate Room where environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity, but also noise and lighting can be controled. The Climate Room aims at offering students a direct experience of the range of possible environmental conditions and with the physical significance of different values. The room also serves as a means to introduce students to instrumentation, conducting measurements and to amnalysing obtained data.
