Vassilis Tsagkas, is a PhD candidate at the Ergonomics Unit of the School of Mechanical Engineering, at the National Technical University of Athens. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, with focus in Industrial Engineering. His diploma thesis was titled: Actual practice deviation from prescribed procedures in healthcare delivery, and was carried out under the supervision of prof. N. Marmaras. His research interests include: procedure analysis, cognitive engineering, sociotechnical systems analysis, philosophy and healthcare delivery.
